Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) is a laser optical
technique for the fast and non-intrusive measurement of
whole flow fields. The technique is applicable to a whole
range of liquid and gaseous flows, from microscopic channels
to external aerodynamics of cars and airplanes. Velocities
can be measured from mm/s to supersonic. |

Laser
Doppler Velocimetry (LDV) is a non-intrusive point
measurement technique for measuring flow velocities and
turbulence. LDV is highly accurate (up to 0.1%),has a large
dynamic range and a high spatial and temporal resolution.
ILA offer a wide range of modular LDV systems from 1D to 3D.
The technique has countless applications in industry and
research, including aerospace, turbomachinery and process
engineering to name but a few |
